Asbestos Fibre Counting
Respirable fibres are those fibres that have the potential to be inhaled into the lungs where they may become the catalyst for Mesothelioma.
Fibre counting is basically looking through a microscope to identify and quantify these fibres and the potential for risk or harm to the individual.
NATA accreditation of field based laboratories can be beneficial to successful project completions the information can be be available in high priority cases around 30 minutes following the monitoring.
Our accredited laboratory and field teams work closely with Asbestos Removalists. The appropriate planning and on site risk assessment for removal projects is key to limiting the potential exposure of respirable fibres to the on site team and the general public.
With careful planning and monitoring our team return to the laboratory and can provide the results ans clearance certificates in most cases within 1 hour of the sample being taken(on site or remote laboratories can be set up).
NATA Accreditation for fibre counting is not required in some states of Australia. As HSE Australia have become nationally employed on projects across Australia this accreditation has been imperative and is driving our success.
